What is a Basal Body Temperature Chart
According to the Jansen dictionary, basal body temperature charting is an inexpensive method for detecting when you are ovulating. The effect that progesterone has one your hypothalamus typically increases your body temperature by a few tenths of a degree. The charting is done by checking your temperature (preferably vaginally and with a BBT thermometer) as soon as you wake up starting from Day 1 (the start of your menstrual period) and throughout the month. By charting the basal body temperature daily you will notice a pattern in your body’s temperature.
